charbovary is a twitter bot which writes out, hour after hour, every instance and variations of the words amour, mort and emma.

i still think emma's death is tragic because, unlike tragic heroes, she didn't have to. she was looking for a certain idea of love, for love that is most powerful at dawn and dusk, love that lives within novels, for a love that doesn't exist. charles, on the other hand, didn't love ideas, he loved emma. she died despite him telling her, over and over, how much she meant to him. for once in literature, words weren't enough.
and so now there's a digital instance of charles which repeats, over and over, amour, mort and emma, perhaps hoping that it might change something.
