hello,
my name is pierre and i write code for various reasons.
pratically, i write software for arts and media organizations, such as museum pieces, interactive installations, machine learning or live performance, amongst others.
conceptually, i wrote versions of augmenting the gallery, politics of code, software art (image + text) , alternate realities, communications lab at new york university, digital culture at sciences po and computational representations at the filmuniversität. i currently teach some of these.
weaving it all together, i'm writing a doctoral thesis on the role of aesthetics in the understandings of source code.
finally, i also write traditional articles and less traditional websites.
here, you could come across both the brainiest thing i've worked on, the the silliest, and perhaps the nightly.
what crimes, wars, murders, what miseries and horrors would not have saved the human race who, pulling up the stakes or filled in the ditch, had shouted to his fellows: "beware of listening to this imposter, you are lost if you forget that the fruits belong to all and that the earth belongs to no one!"
